Mini
dental implants are small diameter implants made of titanium
alloy which are used to secure a patient's denture. Mini implants
afford the patient the ability to throw away their denture
adhesive by stabilizing the denture firmly in place.
The implants themselves are 1.8mm
in width and come in various lengths. They are normally placed
without making an incision. A small channel is prepared for
each implant (similar to ear piercing) and the implant is
then securely threaded into the channel. The top of the implant
has a small ball on it. A silicone donut-like o-ring is secured
inside the patient's denture with acrylic. The o-ring snaps
over the top of the ball and snugs up tightly to the neck
of the implant, holding the denture firmly in place. This
service is an affordable and long-term solution to the problem
of ill-fitting dentures.
Our patients have been extremely
pleased with their results. Mr. George Beland of Toms River
says he was able to eat normally right after the procedure.
Ms. Alice O'Connor of Freehold is 100% pleased with her implants
and can bite into things she couldn't eat before. Matt Oswald
of Brick is so pleased, he states that he wishes he had the
implants done years ago. For just $599 per implant, including
attachments, you can once again enjoy all the things you used
to eat without pain or discomfort.
